A next-generation Charger police prototype was publicly shown during Police Fleet Expo’s DriveX period on Aug. 10. Dodge’s civilian R/T gives us a verified 420-hp AWD baseline, but Dodge/Stellantis has not yet published a final Charger PPV order guide or production specification page.

A Charger police prototype appeared in public during PFE week.
The official PFE schedule confirms DriveX on Aug. 10; multiple independent/current event sources published the Charger prototype from Daytona.
The civilian 2026 Charger R/T is a 420-hp AWD gas model.
Dodge’s March 9 announcement specifies a 3.0L twin-turbo SIXPACK S.O. straight-six, 420 hp, 468 lb-ft and standard AWD.
The show car is R/T/S.O.-based.
MoparInsiders and IBTimes report the prototype uses the R/T/S.O. configuration. Road & Track and Autoblog were more cautious about final police output. Treat 420 hp as a civilian baseline until Dodge publishes police specs.
Summer 2027 is the target order window.
